Intensive Grammar-in-Use Course

The Intensive Grammar Course focuses on improving your grammar usage in professional, academic and social settings. We focus on developing your use of English grammar you need to write professionally, give presentations that are clear and succinct, and just communicate in a refined, polished manner.

Our books and materials have been developed specifically for the needs of our clients. Error correction and specific feedback on your grammar use in both writing and speaking will push you to improve. Our research-based instruction and skill-based curriculum will quickly lead to a noticeable increase in your grammar usage in English. This course is for students who can use grammar correctly at an Intermediate, or B1 level of English.

By the end of the course, the students will be able to produce these outcomes:

• Use a variety of simple, compound, and complex sentence structures in writing and speaking.

• Talk and write about present, past and future events using the appropriate verb tense in compound and complex sentences.

• Use gerunds and infinitives in writing and speaking.

• Use complex connectors in writing and speaking.

• Use adjective clauses to describe a person, object or place.

• Use noun clauses in speaking and writing.

• Use first and second conditionals and the correct verb tenses to talk and write about hypothetical situations in writing and speaking.

• Distinguish between active and passive voice sentences and conjugate verbs into passive voice.

• Paraphrase what they hear or read using reported speech and correct verb tenses.
