Do you feel insecure about your knowledge of English grammar and how to teach it? Do you want to dramatically improve your teaching and increase your confidence in the classroom? If yes, then this course is for you!
This two-part class is very practical and “hands-on”. Each part is 7-weeks long and you must have completed Part 1 in order to take Part 2. The focus of the course is on developing grammar knowledge and correct grammar use of English in both you and your English language learners. In our face-to-face meetings, you will present, and teach, a specific grammar point, or correct sentences with grammar errors and explain the error. Non-native speakers of English who will be taking this class will usually have extensive knowledge of the grammar of English, but may still struggle in fluent and accurate use of English. Native speakers of English will have their own unique struggles. Everyone’s English use will be critiqued and corrected throughout this class which will help you develop your own correct use of English grammar as well as help your classmates learn to critique and correct in an objective, professional, effective and sensitive manner.
