Students are responsible for purchasing the course textbook, More Than a Native Speaker- 3rd Edition. The book may be purchased through CIES for a discounted price of $50 while supplies last. Classes meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 to 6:30 pm in the Kellogg Research Building (KRB) in Suite 323.
CIES-TEFL INTERNSHIP AND TEACHING PRACTICUM
The program fee for the Internship is $750. Registration is contingent upon successful completion of the 120-hour CIES-TEFL Certificate and recommendation by the instructor. The internship must take place during a subsequent 7-week session. Session dates are the same as shown above for the 120-hour Certificate.
CIES-TEFL interns are required to assist their mentor teachers in class at least two days per week. A required weekly meeting with the TEFL Program Instructor for all interns also takes place in the Kellogg Building (Suite 323) at 108 South Copeland Street.
