The Writing Sessions will not be offered in Fall 2020.
What Each Session Offers
Each session offers a one-on-one, 20-minute support session with a writing instructor who has experience with both scholarly writing and the questions of non-native English writers. The instructor will work with you so that you can improve your work and your skills. This is not a session for proofreading and editing.
You must sign up online and bring your writing to the session.
How to Sign Up
Choose the day that you would like to attend. Use the link to the Doodle Poll and select one 20-minute session for that day. Be sure to arrive a few minutes early so that we can start your session promptly.
What to Bring
Come with a writing task that you are currently working on: e.g., short paper, homework, lab report, journal article summary, important e-mail, literature review, conference proposal, etc.) and a reasonable goal that can be accomplished in 20 minutes. Bring whatever writing implements and materials you need (i.e., laptop, paper, notebooks, etc.).
spring 2021 SCHEDULE
Sessions will be held at the Center for Intensive English Studies (CIES) Conference Room.
