Welcome to the Center for Intensive English Studies (CIES) at Florida State University.

Since 1980, our expert teachers have prepared thousands of students to succeed in full-time study at English-speaking universities, advance in careers that require English fluency, or simply increase and polish their English language proficiency.

CIES is a small school. Only 50 students are admitted every semester so that teachers can work personally with each one. Because we are small, you will be able to make friends easily with students from all over the world. You will become part of the family at CIES.

CIES is part of a major American university (Florida State is ranked as one of the USA's "Top 100 research universities"), and we are located in the capital city of Florida - Tallahassee. The mild climate and safe community make it an ideal place to study, learn, and live.
