Welcome to the Center for Intensive English Studies (CIES) at Florida State University.

The Center for Intensive English Studies is now located on the fourth floor of the historic Eppes Building (also known as Eppes Francis Hall or Eppes Hall), next door to the iconic Westcott Building and the Westcott Fountain.

The fourth floor of Eppes was completely renovated in December 2009 and designed exclusively for CIES.  The new CIES location features a spacious Student Lounge with kitchen amenities, a state-of-the-art language laboratory with 20 work stations, six designated enhanced multimedia classrooms, and an outdoor patio area with tables.

The new location is very close (5 minute walk) to the Suwannee Dining Hall, a student parking garage, various restaurants, and the University Inn and Suites hotel.
